Prerequisites
To access most of the Forsaken Foes content, you will need High Seas and a ship. If you are unfamiliar with High Seas and Ship combat, please see the our guide from Publish 104: Rising Tide, which has detailed information.
The Forsaken Foes Event requires you to collect souls from "Soulbound" creatures. Souls are automatically collected from these creatures when they die, as long as you have an Ethereal Soulbinder in your inventory.
Ethereal Soulbinders are crafted with Alchemy/Glassblowing using Sand and Ethereal Sand.
Crafting Ethereal Soulbinders
To craft an Ethereal Soulbinder, you need to learn the Glassblowing specialization for Alchemy. To do this, you need GM Alchemy and to purchase and use the book titled "Crafting With Glassblowing" from the Gargoyle Alchemist in the Royal City of Ter Mur.
Ethereal Soulbinders require 20 Sand, and 5 Ethereal Sand to craft.
Sand comes from mining in sandy areas, such as beaches.
Ethereal Sand comes from defeating Corgul The Soulbinder, or by purchasing limited quantities from The Mining Cooperative Merchant, located in Minoc.
The Mining Cooperative Merchant's supply is per Account and they will restock their supply whenever Corgul is killed on that shard.
Crafting the Ethereal Soulbinders has a 10% success chance at GM Alchemy, so crafting will fail often and you can lose a lot of sand.
A Glassblowing Talisman is recommended, or even better, a Master Alchemist Talisman with Failure Protection.
Once crafted, the Ethereal Soulbinder can be traded freely to other characters.
Filling Ethereal Soulbinders
To fill an Ethereal Soulbinder, it must be in your backpack when you kill a creature marked as "Soulbound". The "Soul" of these creatures will automatically fill any Ethereal Soulbinder you have in your backpack.
Souls will be added to Ethereal Soulbinders cumulatively, meaning you don't need to worry about "wasting" an Ethereal Soulbinder on a lesser creature. Multiple creature will keep filling up the same Ethereal Soulbinder until it is full.
Soulbound Enemies include:
- Corgul the Soulbinder (and Enemies on his Island)
- Osiredon the Scalis Enforcer
- Charybdis (and Tentacles)
- Dread Pirates
- Pirate Ship Crew
- Gargoyle Ship Crew
- Tokuno Merchant Crew
- Plunderbeacon Crew
- Sea Spawn near Plunderbeacons (Kraken, Sea Serpents, Water Elementals)
- Guardians from Treasure Hunting Chests
The stronger the enemy, the more of an Ethereal Soulbinder their soul will fill. Make sure you always have an empty Ethereal Soulbinder on you (or a couple).
Ethereal Soulbinders will change colors and names based on how full they are:
- Meager - Black (<1% Full)
- Grand - Blue (1% - 24% Full)
- Exalted - Green (25% - 49% Full)
- Legendary - Orange (50% - 89% Full)
- Mythical - Purple (90% - 100% Full)
Ethereal Soulbinders can be turned into The Fellowship in exchange for Fellowship Silver, which is used to purchase rewards.
Obtaining Fellowship Silver
To exchange your filled Ethereal Soulbinders for Fellowship Silver, you need to go to The Fellowship building in East Britain:
Drop your Ethereal Soulbinder onto the Ethereal Soulcleanser (blue box) to convert it to Fellowship Silver.
You will receive a different amount of Fellowship Silver based on how full the Ethereal Soulbinder was.
- A 100% full Mythic Soulbinder will reward 10000 Fellowship Silver.
- A Meager Soulbinder will reward only a couple hundred Fellowship Silver
It is recommended to not turn int your Soulbinder until it is at Mythic, since they are not reusable.
Reward Items
Fellowship Silver can be spent at The Fellowship Adept to purchase rewards.

Blackthorn Dungeon Collapse
A new mini-quest involving Blackthorn Dungeon is available in Publish 106.
*** WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD ***
The following section describes in detail how to proceed through the Blackthorn Dungeon mini-quest.
If you prefer to discover things on your own, do not continue.
*** WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD ***
To complete this mini-quest, you need to acquire 8 Fellowship Coins:
Fellowship Coins are acquired by donating Maritime Cargo Goods to the Donation Box at The Fellowship Building in East Britain:
You must donate 450,000,000 points worth of Maritime Cargo Crates to The Fellowship in order to receive a Fellowship Coin (45 Mythic Cargo Crates). Any donation after that (of any Cargo Crate Size) will give you an additional Fellowship Coin.
Now that you have your 8 Fellowship Coins, head into Castle Blackthorn Dungeon.
Upon entering Blackthorn Dungeon, you can see that the dungeon is in disarray and parts of it has collapsed. There is a cleanup worker in the main area that you can talk to and a teleporter pad that you are not allowed to access.
Talk to the worker:
Now give him a Fellowship Coin:
You are now allowed to use the Teleporter Pad next to him. Step on it and you will be in a new area of the dungeon, with another worker. There are now two Teleporter Pads next to the worker. The East pad will send you back a room, the West pad you are not allowed to access yet.
From here, you can continue down the west path if you want to go to the Blackthorn Captains and Beacons for Minax Artifacts. To continue with the mini-quest, talk to the new Worker:
Give him a Fellowship Coin:
Now use the West Teleporter pad to go to a new area:

Double-Clicking the Medallion reveals more information about it:
You can now leave the Dungeon.
Notes:
- Each room you enter has many objects you can interact with. None seem to be related to the quest or story at all.
- Once you "pay" a worker once with a Fellowship Coin, you have permanent access to their Teleporter and can re-enter it at any time.
- At the time this article was written, the use for the reward amulet is unknown.
